Because, Music #7

I've been a little repetitive with my music lately, opting for the usual playlists I know and love so well, rather than spending a few hours on the weekend finding new artists. But hey, sometimes that's OK because there are times when all we want to do is sing. Sing to the songs that remind us of certain memories, specific people and times that we like to treasure.

There is nothing more relaxing for me than coming home from work, and pottering around the house with my favourite songs playing in the background. Sometimes it helps me work, and get that dreaded housework done, and other times it distracts me so much that I realise hours have been wasted just listening to music. And re-listening to it again.
Although as people say, time you enjoy wasting, is not wasted.
And for me, this playlist is my enjoyment...

Jaymes Young - We Won't
Hollow Coves - The Woods
Oh Wonder - Landslide
Adele - When W Were Young
Lany - ILYSB
Andy Shauf - The Magician
Fleet Foxes - Mykonos
Jack Garratt - Worry
Scott Matthew - I Wanna Dance With Somebody
Bear's Den - Sophie
Aquilo - You There
The Weepies - Crooked Smile
Layla - Black Mud
Jont - Circades & Sighs
alt J - Matilda
Ray Lamontagne - Winter Birds
Fink - This Is The Thing

So next time you're needing some motivation to wash your dishes or re-organise your wardrobe, or maybe you just fancy some company in the form of soft sounds, then turn up your speakers, open the curtains and pop on the kettle for a productive morning.
Of if you're like me, once the coffee has brewed, head to the sofa and let some hours pass in the natural sunlight. Those are the best kind of hours spent.
