Primark Top | So In Fashion Skirt* | New Look Boots | Primark Knit
If blogging has taught me a fair few things, one of them is to try new things, even if it's only something small. For me, I've spent many years of my adulthood sticking to pretty much the same style - I mean, I'm not one for small hips so fitted things aren't really my forte and I tend to stick to the all round flattering skater style, because it's a winner. It can do no wrong. When I spied this skirt, I couldn't help myself but think that maybe this time the extra oomph and swing of it would cover what I'm forever trying to hide. Those Shakira hips of mine.
And you know what? I'm (personally) glad that I took that tiny little risk, because actually I think it's a perfect cover up, and I dare even say that this skirt makes me feel super girly. Like I want to swing my body from side to side and pout like Marilyn Monroe (now that's a sight you'd like to see I'm sure). And the colour? Absolutely spot on.
So with my super new swinging skirt, I packed it for my working week away this week. I'm now home after what has felt like forever and cannot wait to snuggle up with Little R and Little B for a catch up on the things that they've not gotten up to this week! We're currently snoozing in the guest bedroom whilst Little B redecorates our bedroom, but with his working hours I'm pretty sure we'll be waiting quite some time..
I mean I could do the painting myself, but there's cakes to be baked and mini eggs to be eaten. You know, these things can't sort themselves out.. And on that note, I think my bath is calling my name.
