I love you in the morning, when you're still hungover

Dress: c/o Madam Rage. Top: New Look Generation. Belt: Pop Couture. Wedges: New Look.

Today is a day, when I realise that sometimes I am such a bore. Such a bore with my shopping habits. By this, I mean that I always head straight to the dresses. The dresses that either go in at the waist, or are a straight down, no fuss, eat as much as you like kinda dress. With vest type sleeves. Oh, and printed too.
And of course, when Madam Rage contacted me, I went straight to the dresses, the one with the cutest print, and a pulled in waist. Because I'm a predictable Penny. That's what I am. But actually, I just want to be an adventurous Audrey.
I want to go for things I don't normally (YES like the shiny leggings situation!) and "Oh my Christ" (hello Pamela quote from Gavin & Stacey!)  I even dreamt about jeans today! I KNOW right.
So look at me branching out, children's t-shirts over dresses and what not. Actually this is a lie. It was a bit on the breezy side, so instead of a vest, this seemed like a cooler option. And you know what? Next week, I AM going to wear jeans. For the first time in 32975932 years. And I AM going to try and enjoy it.
I'll just make sure I'm standing upright and still for a few hours. Not sure how that'll go down..

  7. The bird print on this dress is so cute! I know what you mean about being a predictable penny... I always have to tear myself away from things in shops as I'm instantly drawn to things that look EXACTLY the same as what's already in my wardrobe just in a different colour/pattern/shop. I'm learning to train a little piece of my brain to say 'no Kaz, the reason you like this is because you already own it... YOU DON'T NEED ANOTHER' (but I still don't always listen to it).

  9. I get ya, sometimes I get stuck in a rut wearing the same old things. In my case, it's usually all black asymmetrical ensembles. You look great, but I'm proud you're going to branch out. Can't wait to see how you style jeans!

  10. Haha, sometimes it's nice to be a predictable Penny, especially when what you tend to go for suits you as much as dresses that go in at the waist suit you. However, I agree that sometimes it's nice to take a walk in adventurous Audrey's shoes, especially when they're so damn stylish!

  11. Oh those 'eat all your want and still comfortable dresses' are the ones i love the most! I can't stand it when I'm proper pigging out and I'm in jeans and I have to slyly alter my belt for a bit of comfort! The print is so sweet, suit you very well indeed!

  19. I didn't wear jeans for a couple of years, but recently gave them a whirl as I was getting sick of cutesy dresses too. I'm so glad I did - so easy to wear, and they've given new life to my wardrobe. Do it!

I always tend to go for the same things when shopping, and then always get fed up that I only wear the same sort of things over and over again when i'm getting dressed! It's a never ending cycle! I too need to be waaaay more adventurous!
I'm excited about seeing you in jeans!
